Alberto Giacometti @ Guggenheim Bilbao

This large retrospective of Giacometti’s presents over 200 works on loan from the Giacometti Foundation, Paris, which holds an exceptional spectrum of pieces spanning the Swiss artist’s entire career. Greatly influenced by World War II, Giacometti made work that spoke to the anguish and despair evident during mid-20th century Europe. The retrospective includes sculptures, paintings, drawings, archival photographs and ephemera.
