Marlissa Gardner

Marlissa Gardner founded Emillions Art in 2014. She is most successful as a bridge between artist and collector, buyer and seller, and connecting art establishments with commercial buyers. Marlissa believes that selling art is really about understanding people. Her art background and knowledge have fostered a network of enthusiastic collectors, esteemed professionals, and returning clients who rely on Marlissa’s warmth, tenacity with pursuing special collections, and business acumen. She participates in speaking engagements on art investment and has been featured in Women of Distinction magazine as one of the top women entrepreneurs to watch. Before starting Emillions Art, Marlissa owned her own film production company and worked in collaboration with United Pictures, UPN and Fox as a director and producer. Marlissa was a member of the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Plymouth, MA. She started the Community Foundation of Greater Plymouth County, focused on education for at-risk youth in the Boston area. Marlissa earned a Bachelor of Applied Sciences degree in Broadcasting & Film from Boston University.

Dr. Neil Pennington

Dr. Neil Pennington

Highly strategic and innovative, Neil is an entrepreneur passionate about value and impact and has delivered results across a wide range of business sectors and technologies. His early career was based on a foundation of senior corporate leadership experience (with the likes of PwC, IBM and RWE). He also co-founded a number of ventures including a curated physical and digital Art NFT platform, and a Green Fintech Platform, CiveQ, and is a member of the leadership team of the luxury asset trading platform, Idoneus. 

Neil describes himself as “all about Finding Value: art, technology, humanity, new sources of wealth, new ways of thinking and acting, passionate about harnessing the power of technology to create positive social and environmental impact, and to transform the way we access, exchange, and enjoy value in various sectors and cultures”. He has been an advocate for ID2020 and statelessness, is a frequent speaker and writer on value and  innovation and has consulted with businesses and governments across a wide range of sectors. Neil has a BSc (Hons) in Physics, a PhD in Electrical Engineering, and an MBA from the London Business School.

Karen Jensen

Karen Jenson

Karen Jenson’s career spans across the non-profit and for-profit worlds of art and finance and the cross section of these two worlds has been a fascination and interest of hers for over two decades. With laser sharp focus around mission and vision, Karen has successfully established and embellished operational and financial sustainability for various creative organizations across the non-profit, public, and private sectors, including a youth empowerment and arts program, and the nationally recognized NPR radio station, KPCW, in Park City, UT, as well as The Carnegie Art Center, and the Albright-Knox Art Museum in Buffalo, NY. Karen is skilled in building lasting relationships and managing diverse teams to reach mission-critical success. Before achieving her MBA in Finance on a fellowship, she studied Art History at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and spent time in the curatorial department at the MCA, Chicago, and in development at The Lehmann Maupin Gallery in New York City.

While at M&T Bank and Sterling Bank in New York City, Karen conscientiously secured financing for minority business owners within her $100M+ portfolio. She was dedicated to women and minority business leaders internally and externally to access capital and career growth opportunities, believing in social purpose and integrity throughout the entire value chain of any organization. Solutions based and pragmatic, she is highly passionate about reaching revenue goals and operational targets to achieve growth and progress. Karen looks forward to unlocking value and opportunity within existing and growing art collections not only for the benefit of the owners, but for their legacies, younger generations, and a better world to come.
