Emillions Art welcomes three new contemporary artists: James P. Kerr, Arcade Latour and Todd Williams

All good things come in threes believes Emillions Art founder and global art consultant Marlissa Gardner, noting the three new contemporary artists joining the Emillions Art network could not be more diverse, bringing their own groundbreaking and cutting-edge styles.

James P. Kerr

Growing up in a prominent art community in Buffalo, New York, James P. Kerr studied at a young age with the late Lazlo Szabo, a renowned portrait painter (from 1964-1970) and Carl Illig (1971) a prominent landscape painter. He developed a high-key palette and a mastery of oil painting that is a unique combination of impressionism and abstract expressionism. He is a plein air and studio painter, inspired by scenic locations in New England, Florida, the Caribbean and the mountains to the coast of North Carolina as well as the somber tones of New Orleans nightlife and jazz musicians. Collectors have sought his paintings since 1966. You can view James P. Kerr’s contemporary art for sale on our website.

Arcade Latour

Arcade Latour

Meanwhile, in this digital age and era of virtuality, Canadian abstract painter Arcade Latour paints with the age-old medium printer’s ink, a demanding, opaque, and dense raw material with incredibly thick malleable textures that evolve over time, giving life and magical colors to his paintings. Arcade has perfected his special art using the blows of a spatula to assist in this physically demanding art that can sometimes take up to two years for a painting to dry well. Ever mindful of its environmental footprint, he has also developed an ink recycling program to obtain the inks he uses in his paintings. Todd Williamson

Todd Williamson

Award-winning, Los Angeles-based Todd Williamson’s abstract paintings are nuanced abstractions with subtle historic references from Rothko, Frankenthaler and Still. His robust brushstrokes are often compared to Kandinsky and Paladino. He is the current winner of the prestigious Pollock Prize for Creativity, only the third artist in history to win this coveted prize from the Pollock Krasner Foundation in honor of Lee Krasner. His project Processional was one of 20 official exhibitions at the 2019 Venice Biennale, viewed by over 100,000 visitors, and named one of the Top 10 exhibitions at the international event. Todd has also been honored with the inclusion of his work “Mercy” into the permanent collection of the Pio Monte della Misericordia where it hangs next to its inspiration “The Seven Works of Mercy” by Caravaggio. His new abstracts are sparse, near-monochromatic compositions created by removing layers of oil and leaving distinct frameworks of 3” parallel or grid-like lines. The contemporary art for sale by Todd Williamson is on our website.
