Another Door Opens

Another Door Opens

Layla Love

Throughout the artifacts of time we have been told to listen to the wisdom of our elders and to give reverence to the humble keys they offer, which are life-affirming and transformative. A story I learned that I am sure you may have heard, is that when one door closes, another door opens. This is a quintessential principle to embrace if you are to live your life in a forward motion; to maintain the inertia of all that is going right, even in the face of all that is seemingly going wrong. This image highlights the juxtaposition of surrender and strength needed to cultivate this principle. It is a meditative piece. Her eyes are closed, her stance is prayer-full. She is embodying the unknown with grace
and ease, reminding us to embrace mystery as we face the dawning of each new day … life is but a dream.
