The Grand Canyon

Ryan Saevitz

A couple weeks into a month-long, 280-mile expedition through the Grand Canyon, we were exiting Deer Creek on our way back to camp for the evening. Our elevation provided the perfect up-river vantage point to catch the fading, glowing light bouncing beautifully off the canyon walls. Moments later, the sun had set and vibrant colors gave way to the pale dusk. As usual, timing was everything. Giclee on stretched canvas.
