To happen upon such a rare and substantial piece of Nantucket driftwood one evening was a unique opportunity given to me many years ago. With respect to terrain, cedar, plywood, copper and mahogany adorn the whale’s structure. These were the same core materials I used to build houses with out here, and they serve as the building blocks for this beautiful island life. The whale is an honest reflection of its unbridled environment—a passionate pursuit of greatness—freedom at its most grandiose scale.
